Role Summary/Purpose

Be Responsible for test verification and validation of industrial firmware applications for smart instruments.
Essential Responsibilities

The primary responsibility includes testing of product functionality and performance at both device level and system level, additional testing responsibility includes software supporting tools based on PC, handheld, DCS, or Asset management server.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean, Agile, Software & Product Security, and testing techniques.
 Work closely with software/firmware developers and test engineers globally to assure
 high quality products per product requirement specification.
 Participate in all stages of product development cycle including requirement analysis, test plan development, test case design, test execution, test result reporting
 Strictly follow product development process, drive for testing quality improvement by standardizing test process, building test automation and associated tools and infrastructure, and exercising best test practice
 Work closely with team members to help bug fix and trouble shooting
 Participate in documentation drafting and verification for instructions, references, manuals, and other technical guides.
Qualifications/Requirements

 Bachelor or Master’s degree, major in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant
 Above 3 years of firmware testing experience
 Experience in protocol firmware testing, such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, or Profibus
 Clear logic and able to deal with complicated system
 Good at English, both written and oral, good communication skill
 Quick in learning new technology and tools
 Good team player in global collaboration
Desired Characteristics

 Instruments related software testing experiences is a plus
 Experience working in automation/process control industry, familiar with Distributed Control System is a plus
 Experience in test equipment development for industrial devices is a plus
