Job Description Summary
The Product Cost-Out Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the competitiveness of instrument transformers, air core reactors and line traps by managing initiatives to reduce material costs and labor expenses in manufacturing. The primary objective is to improve future cost trends through implementation of strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Cost Tracking and Reporting:
· Monitor and analyze product costs related to air core reactors, line traps and instrument transformers.
· Prepare monthly reports on cost evolutions based on the costing structure validated by Finance (EAS), based on bill of materials, and including all applicable cost parameters and rules.
· Develop action plans to enhance cost efficiency and product competitiveness.
Reflib Process:
· Implement and manage the Reflib process for cost optimization in the manufacturing unit.
· Consider business strategy, customer perspectives and specifications, supplier processes and capabilities.
· Collaborate with stakeholders (R&D, Q&A, sourcing, industrialization, sales, marketing, and finance) to encourage idea generation, planning, execution, and implementation.
· Provide support to sales and tendering teams in strategic project opportunities at offer stage for definition of most effective product configurations versus customer specifications, type testing and certifications analysis and for all-in cost optimization.
· Coordinate product cost-out workshops and meetings
· Provide product cost information and data for finance for budgeting exercise and support for cost analysis and updating in SAP.

· Manage cost-out projects and initiatives effectively.
· Define and implement cost-out initiatives with clear targets for scope, cost, and deadlines. Organize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines.
· Ensure accountability for achieving cost reduction goals.
Effective Communication:
· Efficiently communicate with cross-functional teams, management and other stakeholders.
· Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in Portuguese and English.

· Cooperate with internal stakeholders based in sister factories abroad (Europe, Asia, Americas).
· Coordinate with suppliers and sourcing teams based in Europe, Asia, and the Americas
Specific Knowledge Requirements:
· SAP Material Master Module: Familiarity with SAP for managing material data.
· Excel and PowerPoint: Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, R&D, industrialization or related functions.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Self-motivated and accountable.
· Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to multicultural settings.
