Role Summary/Purpose

The candidate should be from Mechanical Engineering background having 1 to 3 years of experience working in manufacturing industry (Automobile, Locomotive, Heavy Engineering)

The candidate should be from Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering background having 1 to 3 years of experience working in manufacturing industry, preferably from OEM's such as capacitors, reactors, high voltage cabinets & control systems
Essential Responsibilities

Mechanical (Junior Engineer) Assembly Fitter:

Ability to understand engineering drawings and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructions at shop floor
• Familiar to different types of pneumatic, oil pulse, battery operated tools and techniques of fitments
• Reading Comprehension: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents (WIS/MIS).
• Operation and Control – Assembly and fitments of different parts as per work instruction sheet / blue prints etc. with safety standards. Achieve production target on weekly and monthly
• Report and co-ordinate for material availability, machine breakdown
• Ensure assembly product is met the quality standard and report in case of any deviation and close the quality issues with problem solving technique, ensure tool calibration frequency
• Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment responsibility to reach a common goal of productivity
• Handling of EOT cranes.
• Identifying the tools, tackles, jigs & fixtures to carry out the assembly
• Properly maintain build traceability, project documentation records and tag all parts per engineering documents.
• Identify & resolve problems or hazardous conditions that occur during assembly and test.
• Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Responsible for ensuring work area is maintained hazard free and tidy in accordance with 5S principles
• Responsible for writing Manufacturing Work Instruction, Safety Risk Assessments for jobs as and when required
• Responsible for maintaining accurate traceability records of assemblies
• Conversant with AutoCAD/3D Models
• Kaizen promotions and participate in CFT

Electrical (Junior Engineer)- Assembly Fitter :

Candidate should have thorough understanding of basics of electrical, electronics & industrial electronics concepts
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, conventions & instructions
• Hands on experience of assembly/build of electrical & electro-mechanical products, according to written work instructions
• Perform wiring of electrical panels, cabinets and sub-assemblies according to written instructions
• Conversant with AutoCAD / Electrical CAD / 3D Models
• Awareness about Electrical standards
• Candidate should be familiar with hand tools, power tools and production equipment material handling equipment utilizing fitting / adjusting /lifting/securing maneuvers
• Well conversant with electrical measuring & testing instruments
• Complete final assembly & checks per product requirement ensuring Quality & timeline
• Maintain the highest level of quality on all production output
• Ability to develop new tooling, jigs & fixtures, per shop requirement
• Should understand & comply with GE’s core EHS requirements
• Aware about with 5’S’, Kaizen & Lean manufacturing tools
• Responsible for maintaining accurate traceability records of assemblies
• Knowledge of QMS systems, ISO/AS standards will be added advantage
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with 1 to 2 Years experience
• Not worked in unionized environment
• Flexible to work in shifts

For Electrical :

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in OEM such as capacitors, reactors, high voltage cabinets & control systems
• Flexible to work in shifts
• Willing to work hands-on in the manufacturing assembly lines for Electrical / Mechanical product build & testing
