Role Summary/Purpose

We have an immediate requirement for two Skilled Jig Borers to join our busy jog boring team, to deliver high quality parts for delivery against a number of long term aviation contracts. Working to high tolerances, the role will machine small batch and bespoke aerospace components to the required quality, within budget and timescales.
Essential Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will:

·  Work with minimum supervision, you will be able to bore holes to high tolerances using tables and platterns as part of compound set ups

·  Be able to use standard measuring equipment and various gauges, including electronic, bore micrometers and verniers

·  Work to the daily schedule and high drawing tolerances

·  Be expected to self-inspect, once you are trained to Approved Operator standard

·  Complete work route cards and other documentation to maintain component traceability

·  Work as part of the Jig Bore team and other teams, such as Inspection and Quality

·  Overtime is available as required

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Experience in working in a tool room or similar environment using a jig bore machine. This role may also suit a manual miller who is looking to expend their skills/experience

·  This is a physical job and some lifting will be required

·  Willing to work various shift patterns - These vacancies are required for night shift predominantly but other shifts may be available. Relevant shift premium will be payable

·  Well organised and methodical approach
