Job Description Summary

The Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE) is a project management–focused role responsible for the end-to-end management of instrumentation requirements on military and commercial engines and rigs within Development Assembly and Instrumentation Operations (DEAIO). Reporting to the Instrumentation Program Engineering Sub-Section Manager, the IPE leads planning and execution of instrumentation scope to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

As an Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE), you will:

·  Manage instrumentation requirements on engines and rigs through the full tollgate process
·  Own cost and schedule for the instrumentation scope, including content captured in the Test Project Sheet (TPS)
·  Coordinate daily with Instrumentation, Design, Systems, Assembly, Engineering, Evaluation, Test, Tooling, Project personnel, and the hourly workforce
·  Support scheduling and execution of development engines with strong focus on Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and overall Cost initiatives
·  Utilize key digital tools, including IDS, IWS, dTPS, Open Plan, Digital Thread, Intelligence, Digital Workbench, VIS mock-up, CAMEO, and various Access databases
·  Leverage FLIGHT DECK principles to lead day-to-day execution, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery against commitments
·  Develop and implement action plans to respond to issues, manage risks, and resolve problems
·  Participate in and present at technical and program reviews
·  Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and testing

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
