Job Description Summary

In the context of an HVDC offshore Project, the Project Risk Manager will take responsibility for all elements of the risk management approach, both internally and externally.

Job Description

Major Responsibilities

You will be leading the facilitation of the risk management process ensuring that risk data are kept up to date and following industry best practices according to ISO31000:2018 standards.

Engage the project team in the risk management requirements proactively and establish a risk management culture which enforces risk informed decision making.

Develop Risk Management Plan, maintain risk registers, prepare risk reports and analyses to support management in decision making.

Automate and increase efficiency in elements of the implemented risk management processes, tools, and templates.

Lead risk workshops with the project teams including partners and client.

Integrate Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) methodology for Cost and Schedule in the project, help management interpret results and make decisions using QRAs.

Ensure consistency of approach and knowledge sharing across projects.

Qualification And Requirements

·  Previous experience in industries with large and complex engineering focused projects, programmes and regulated environments (major infrastructure, rail, highways, oil and gas, nuclear).
·  Previous experience in consultancy environments.
·  Need to be able to demonstrate that you have designed and led risk management frameworks and approaches to risk management in project environments.
·  Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (QCSRA).
·  Expert with industry tools such as @risk, Safran, ARM, Xactium.
·  Broad and diverse background i.e., Project Management, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Cost Estimators, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), Data analytics, but not limited.
·  Influence teams in adopting new ways of working and challenge existing practices as necessary.
·  Ability and interest to deep dive into complex analytical topics, interpreting and processing technical information making it easier to communicate in various audiences.
·  Mastery of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel) to support these analytics is required.
·  Work in multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
·  Excellent project management skills; coordination and cooperation skills; a team player who is willing and able to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an advantage.
·  Willingness and ability to travel.
