Role Summary/Purpose

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree).
Essential Responsibilities

* Responsible for the electrical design, focus on embedded systems hardware / firmware design aspect.
* Translate requirements into a robust electrical design within the framework developed by the Lead System Designers.
* Implement, test, verify, and document the designs to ensure requirements are met.
* Communicate progress effectively to hardware leader and project leader.
* Support software development, system integration.
Qualifications/Requirements

* Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering or Biomedical (with Bio-instrumentation focus)
* At least 5 years analog/digital design and development for complex systems or computerized products.
* Demonstrated experience in FPGA /VHDL designing.
* Proven experience in EMC/EMI design, familiar with EDA tools(Cadence and Mentor Graphics)
* Effective communicator capable of describing and documenting proposed solutions.
* Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary global teams.
* Flexibility in handling challenging, multi-tasking workload.
* Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Desired Characteristics

* At least two years experience in medical device industry or equivalent safety critical industry.
* Familiarity with work principle of patient monitor
* Familiarity with Design process and tools.
* Understanding of IEC60601-1 and particular standards for patient parameters
