Role Summary/Purpose

The Global Quality Engineer will provide functional support to quality management in the factories and to the relevant global support functions by means of promoting, coordinating, facilitating, and implementing the operational quality requirements, quality assurance and quality improvement projects / tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Global Quality Engineer, you will:

·  Train Quality staff in plants and Global Support Functions on the use of inspection and measurement methods, Quality Acceptance Criteria, Quality Systems, etc.
·  Assist in governing the factories and overall regional quality performance concerning defect escapements and quality towards customer
·  Conduct Quality evaluations and work with plants on closing deviations
·  Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions aiming to improve quality KPIs
·  Guide on common application of quality standards and procedures in the plants
·  Provide functional support and enable decisions to Regional and Global Quality leadership
·  Drive projects, deploy the use of Quality Control tools, such as SPC, Root Cause analysis, control plans, GR&R, etc.
·  Participate in creation of new and modified documents and procedures
·  Maintain relevant procedures in BMS
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college 
·  Minimum of 3 years of direct Engineering and/or Quality / technical responsibility ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to travel within the region and internationally 20% of the time

·  General knowledge of wind turbine blade manufacturing
·  Experience in quality areas in wind turbine blade manufacturing
·  Experience in project management
·  Ability to analyze data using Excel, Minitab, etc.
·  Ability to drive positive change
·  Ability to clearly communicate, convince, motivate and inspire others
·  Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
·  Ability to communicate in English with at least one other language
·  Background in LEAN Six Sigma or equivalent
·  Well organized and self-driven with the ability to work / complete tasks independently and on time
