Role Summary/Purpose

The Global Product Marketing Manager will be an integral part of the GE Upstream BioProcess team, responsible for developing and executing multi-channel product marketing initiatives. This dynamic individual will collaborate across cross-functional teams to contribute to the overall growth of the global business.
Essential Responsibilities

The role will contribute to Upstream portfolio growth by executing product marketing plans, including new product development & current portfolio initiatives. He/she will also help develop qualitative & quantitative customer insights.

Develop multi-channel marketing initiatives for upstream bioprocessing, focusing on single-use bioreactor operations
- As a member of the global marketing team, serve as a brand representative, understanding, supporting and communicating our multi-brand strategy in every aspect of our global marketing.
- Generate market insights through market research including VOC feedback, monitoring and participating in industry activities.
- Understand and communicate customers’ values and needs and for the product/service offering
- Support business decisions with market research and information focused on the industry, portfolio performance and the competitive landscape.
- Research, identify and develop unique digital tools and customer interfaces

Create and implement tactical marketing activities
- Execute marketing strategy in supporting the business growth objectives, working with stakeholders in product management, field and regional marketing, sales, technical modalities, and R&D
- Assess portfolio competitiveness and drive clear product positioning via tactical execution through channel and content format
- Analyze customer segments, competitor analysis, industry trends, market opportunities and sales funnels.
- Manage processes and programs to increase customer awareness, preference and purchase intent (e.g., lead generation campaigns)
- Support product application studies, projects, and collaborate closely with R&D and product management teams to execute content (e.g. application notes)
- Develop and launch marketing content for new product introductions and support existing portfolio through collaborations with Product Management, R&D, regional commercial and marketing teams
- Partner with modality teams, product and field marketing to support regional product positioning, training materials, and other tools required
- Monitor and report metrics and operating mechanisms to ensure achievement of business objectives (e.g. web channels, asset utilization, etc)
Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related science field
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing or related field in the life sciences
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong analytical and process skills
- Team oriented – ability to work well with globally diverse, cross-functional teams
- Innovation – ability to develop/execute on new ideas through collaboration
- Strong drive and ability to work independently and run projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory approval of all marketing communications prior to external release
Desired Characteristics

- MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related science field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, consulting or related field in Bioprocess
- Healthcare and biopharmaceutical product/industry acumen, preferably in cell culture
- Marketing experience in market & customer insights, product commercialization and branding
- Experience in cell culture development/process optimization and/or upstream/downstream unit operations
