Role Summary/Purpose

This rotational developmental program is focused on the students who want to gain deep knowledge and skills of turbine airfoils advanced technology through multiple co-op/intern rotations at our Dayton Cores and Casting Facility with the goal of a direct hire opportunity upon graduation to further develop domain expertise.

Essential Responsibilities

Three rotations in no specific order will include:

Rotation: Sensor Enablement and Machine Monitoring
Responsibilities:

·  Connecting machines to Industrial IoT

·  Improve existing connections through additional tag development

·  Coding machine policies for predictive analytics

·  Automation/Robotics opportunities

Rotation: Digital Thread
Responsibilities:

·  Implement automation of quality data

·  Linking inspection data to machine code for adaptive manufacting

·  Create reports for production on beginning to end of part history

Rotation: Data analytics
Responsibilities:

·  Automate analytics on shop performance

·  Use process data to identify key manufacturing defects

·  Students will gain some exposure/experience in day to day IT Support functions

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (without rounding)

·  Working towards a degree of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Chemical Engineering

·  Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program

·  Completed one full year of college (rising second year)

·  Reliable transportation to/from work location

·  Our positions require access to export controlled information.
