Role Summary/Purpose

As a Field Support Specialist you will participate in the delivery , installation and servicing of Pressure Control equipment, using a articulating crane as well as other vehicles operated under DOT regulations. In this role you will perform assignments as directed by the Service Manager and Branch Manager, plus other assignments as required. You will work effectively with other work groups: EHS, Sales, Maintenance, other Personnel and Management.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Field Support Specialist - Crane Operator you will:

·  Under the direction of the Service Manager and Branch Manager, perform a number of tasks associated with the delivery, rig-up / down of equipment & tools and related equipment in the shop, yard or location

·  Perform duties which may involve some technical elements but primarily focused on the delivery and installation of equipment / machinery / systems

·  Play a role in hands-on and directly manipulate equipment, machinery or systems requiring precise instrumentation / operation

·  Be trained in operating more than one type of equipment or combinations of equipment / processes (level is determined by competency development program)

·  Conduct field quality work to ensure GE policies and procedures are being adhered to in their entirety

·  Be familiar with all services provided by GE Pressure Control in order to accompany and train current employees as well as newly hired employees

·  Ability to safely deploy to assignment locations – onshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 1 year Oil & Gas or Mechanical experience

·  Possess and maintain a valid Class A driver’s license and DOT health card

·  To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record

·  Be available to work on-call, overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Be subjected to extreme heat/cold for extended periods of time

·  Undergo Periodic fitness for duty tests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore/offshore remote location assignments

·  Ability to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations – onshore and offshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care
Desired Characteristics

·  Minimum 2 years of Field Service, wellhead and gate valve experience in Oil and Gas

·  Class A CDL and NCCCO Articulating Boom Crane certification

·  Experience on Frac valve maintenance and operation

·  Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electronic, and/or Hydraulic Equipment

·  Documentation and Record Keeping ability

·  Working knowledge of PC Equipment Identification; New PC Product Installation

·  Knowledge of Customer Service Best Practices

·  Basic Computer Skills

·  Intermediate Mathematical Skills

·  Intermediate Reasoning skills
