Role Summary/Purpose

As the Fabricator, Class C, you will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their sub-assemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions. This is a 2nd shift position, and you must be willing to work 2nd shift.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Fabricator, Class C, you will:

·  Join, fabricate and weld to engineering drawings along with written and verbal instructions
·  Follow step-by-step instructions for fabricating any product or component
·  Be responsible for producing high quality work and craftsmanship for holding tight tolerances to fixtures and engineered drawings
·  Use a variety of measuring devices, blueprints, and work instructions
·  Set up weld equipment
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED
·  Minimum of 2 years of experience with Flux Core / MIG Weld according to American Welders Society (AWS) D1.1
·  Minimum of 2 years reading and comprehending engineered manufacturing drawings ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
·  Ability and willingness to work multiple shift(s)
·  Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required
Desired Characteristics

·  Ability to calculate figures, basic math, and understanding of measuring metrics
·  Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form
·  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
·  Ability to TIG Weld according to ASME Section IX
·  Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

·  Works well with others
·  Communicates clearly and effectively
·  Desire to take ownership and accountability in work and in company success
·  Ability to work in a lean and fast-paced environment   
·  Can run torch and nail scaler
·  Can complete simple assemblies
·  Experience reading blue prints and interpreting weld symbols
