Role Summary/Purpose

The LATAM Region Treasury analyst is an experienced professional handling day-to-day treasury activities as Cash & Banking management, support business units on funding initiatives, requesting Trade Finance instruments in favor of customers as well as collecting documentation for utilizing documentary credits and Foreign Exchange (FX) exposure assessment, and embedded derivatives management.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Treasury responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 
·  Keep Cash & banking infrastructure compliant with Treasury HQ and Corp. 
·  Treasury policy and guidelines.
·  Support business units and Treasury HQ on any funding initiatives and relevant presentation to Corporate Treasury Internal Funding Working Group.
·  Support business units on initiation of trade finance instruments’ requests in ALOC platform and on collecting and presenting to JPMC doc. credits’ document to encash AR.
·  Undertake the FX exposure identification, hedging and hedge reporting using BU’s ERP and templates as well as GE’s Treasury Reporting Systems.
·  Establish routine of verification and reporting that supports Global Treasury teams.
·  Maintain aligned underlined exposure with hedges eliminate this as now automatic in MyExposures.
·  Perform foreign exchange variation and exposure analysis and reporting.
·  Drive standardization and globalization of processes.
·  Raising Spot contracts, Maturity deals and New hedges for non-functional currency payments and receipts where required.
·  Work with different internal stakeholders to identify and track Embedded Derivative’s (ED). Complete and submit the monthly ED reporting to HQ/Treasury COE and execute timely hedging of contracts.
·  Support BU’s on providing FX Realized and Unrealized estimates, check variances between actual/estimates and provide drivers to HQ/Treasury COE.
·  Work with BU’s to run various quarterly and ad-hoc analysis and reports to enable FX exposure to be identified since ITO phase, mitigate via alternate proposals or with hedges and provide by-project or other type analysis to HQ/Treasury COE
Accounting responsibilities include (but are not limited to).
·  Support Global Operations when needed to ensure FX accounting and reconciliations are timely and accurately performed as required to ensure the compliance and integrity of the accounts.
·  Work with Controllership, GOF, Tax and Treasury HQ teams to support various reporting and balance sheet/P&L entries.
·  Support Global Treasurer, Local Controller and Regional Finance/GOF teams with inquiries and analysis.
·  Provide information as required for the group appointed Auditors and meet GE Corporate and external local Statutory bank account requirements.
·  Create and maintain good working relationships with various internal stakeholders in the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Finance or related and at least 5 years’ business experience preferably in Banking or Treasury or Accounting or equivalent knowledge & experience matured in a multinational treasury/accounting environment.
·  Experience of foreign exchange transactions and hedging methods.
·  Good analytical skills.
·  Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and excel.
·  Fluent in English and Portuguese.
·  SAP/Oracle/Hyperion skills are a must
