Job Description Summary

The Gas Power Technical Compliance organization (GPTC) provides technical guidance, leadership, and tactical directions to ensure conformity of projects in line with customer specifications, applicable codes & standards, and local regulations in Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, HRSG, BOP, and Accessories.

GPTC provides coverage in expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of Power Generation equipment including New Product Introduction (NPI), Inquiry to Order (ITO), Order to Remittance (OTR).

GPTC is seeking a Technical Compliance Engineer responsible for driving and executing quality and compliance related to technical regulations and standards for HRSG projects globally.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Provide technical execution in defining, implementing, and improving relevant processes and to streamline design and manufacturing process, eliminate inefficiencies and improve overall productivity for global HRSG projects.
·  Work closely with all other interface functions to execute HRSG compliance, to eliminate inefficiencies and to improve overall productivity.
·  Partner closely with other Engineering teams to ensure regulatory requirements flow-down and common process/practices to minimize non-value-added engineering and design efforts.
·  Actively support business initiatives in Quality, Lean, Continuous Improvement related to HRSG compliance
·  Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet or exceed the annual priorities.
·  Lead, drive, and resolve safety and critical quality issues for successful execution of HRSG projects, including partner with site teams to resolve site compliance issue for successful startups and commissioning.
·  Support the team in interactions with Authorities and Inspection/Certification Agencies.
·  Support his/her people leader to develop standard work and daily management to ensure operational excellence.
·  Support his/her people leader to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
·  Promote Company culture and the GE Vernova Ways.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
·  Min 3 years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing function for Power Plant.
·  Strong understanding of ASME codes and standards (ASME Section I, VIII, and B31.1)
·  Basic understanding of EN 12952, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), and global local regulations related to HRSG projects
·  Global communication and presentation abilities including working with large organizations.
·  Operational understanding of the relevant business function.
·  Demonstrated ability to work across global teams.

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in working with internal and external parties (HSB, Lloyds, TUV, BV, UDT, etc.)
·  Technical Knowledge of welding, non-destructive testing, and power plant equipment testing.
·  Proven ability to work with engineering, project management, inspection & certification companies to expediently resolve technical issues.
·  Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
·  Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities.
·  Education or certifications related to quality and compliance
·  ISO 9001:2015 familiarity
