Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

·  Contribute to the design of ultrasound related lab experiments within NTI and tool validation activities, carry out experiments, using NDE standards and norms

·  Provide investigation reports

·  Drive manual expert analysis into automated expert algorithms through NPI project ideas

·  Contribute to the development and the review of ideas for online and offline algorithms and measurement methods used in Ultrasound based ILI tools and in data analysis

·  Contribute to NPI Design reviews and Tollgate reviews where appropriate

·  Ensure analysis team requirements are captured and included in the scope of any Ultrasonic NPI developments

·  Provide feedback to both the hardware and ILI analysis software teams regarding the performance of these systems during development, verify the performance against the tool specifications

·  Support analysis teams and data control team during the Post Service Review phase (TG7) of NPI
developments (e.g. setting of run parameters, data quality assessment, data analysis for critical features)

·  Assist in project budgeting by contributing to project cost estimates to ensure the required effort is highlighted and quantified

·  Assist in project planning by contributing to project schedules to ensure the required effort is highlighted and quantified

·  Report progress, problems and successes on a regular basis as required by the relevant project manager(s)

·  Implementation of sizing model algorithms and vehicle configurations into Software architecture

·  Support the Dig Verification process and any corrective actions from root cause analysis

·  Contribute to data science team algorithm development projects

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent technical discipline

·  Experience with Non destructive testing environment and tools (Ultrasonics preferable)

·  Strong numerical skills used in an engineering context

·  Evidence of problem solving ability

·  Strong inter-personal and communication skills

·  Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in the analysis of ILI data

·  Skills in algorithm development from design and prototyping to delivery

·  Knowledge of current and emerging machine learning/AI techniques

·  Software development experience

·  Oil & Gas industry experience
