Role Summary/Purpose

The Engineer provides assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Electrical Design of Large power transformers by creating complete design including simulations, calculations etc.
Essential Responsibilities

•Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
• Responsible for control scheme drawing of all kind of transformers including the complicated control scheme drawing of CMS.
•Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
•Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
•Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
•Responsible for design of power transformer tender and contract designs in coordination with commercial, sourcing and tendering teams as per customer’s specifications and GE’s global design norms.
•Carrying out diligent study of specification, assessing complexity and risk, making designs, carrying out wide array of calculations and simulations based on GE’s design guidelines and software tools.
•Conducting design gate reviews within global organization and with customers.
•Ordering materials through ERP systems and releasing ordering specifications.
•To produce drawings/documentation for manufacturing and testing.
•Coordinating with productions, quality, sourcing, testing teams etc for smooth flow of line.
•Coordinating design activities within the global networks.
•Coordination with Global R & D and competence centers.
•Completes assigned work in a timely manner with appropriate level of effort, following applicable practices, methods and standards.
•Uses appropriate data and analysis to make timely decisions.
•Uses clear thinking to reduce complex technical issues to the fundamentals.
•Asks critical questions to facilitate data analysis and decision making.
•Handles multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizes work appropriately.
•Effectively identifies risks and risk abatement actions.
•Document design records clearly and with appropriate details.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years’ experience in Electrical design of EHV & UHV Power Transformers.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage and communicate effectively with global teams.
