Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and development of electronics systems
  • Work on PCB designs and documentation, prototype designs and validate performance goals
  • Research and develop new product options and technologies
  • Participate in design reviews, risk analysis and failure mode investigations
  • Work on power and control system for industrial robotics
  • Fabricate test Jigs for new hardware and write commissioning scripts

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with electronics and electro-mechanical systems
  • Good degree (or equivalent level) in a rigorous engineering, scientific, or mathematical subject
  • Good mathematic ability
  • Excellent problem solving skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to apply a high level of initiative
  • Good organisation skills, able to prioritise under pressure and work to tight deadlines

Desired but not essential

  • PCB design, testing and diagnosis
  • Control theory and gain setting
  • Programming for embedded systems, particularly in C and C++
  • Python experience
