Role Summary/Purpose

You will be responsible for managing all electrical safety across the Dowty sites, whilst ensuring all best practices are met. In this role you will be responsible for planning and executing electrical installations, complying with regulatory requirements, maintaining, fault finding and diagnosing and equipment, whilst leading electrical safety GE framework modules. You will be required to coordinate purchased services on a daily basis and provide clear, concise test reports on an annual basis
Essential Responsibilities

·  Work to ensure electrical safety.

·  Execute the design analysis or evaluation of assigned electrical projects using sound electrical principles whilst adhering to national recognised standards and regulations whilst also following GE 2003 Electrical Safety policy.

·  Oversee and support the design and build of electrical control panels, including documentation of all drawings and technical data consistent with current National Electrical Standards.

·  Lead GE framework 2.0 electrical modules

·  Ensure best practices are met across all Dowty sites

·  Proactively upgrade equipment and plan for downtime across sites.

·  Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained at all times
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Electrical installation apprenticeship or equivalent

·  BS7671 17TH Edition Wiring Regulations

·  2391 Electrical Test and Inspection

·  Proven experience in an industrial environment supervisory role

·  Electrical Authorised Person trained

·  Fully conversant with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures

·  Optical Fibre/Data testing and installation

·  Strong working knowledge of Maximo CMMS

Desired Characteristics

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to co-ordinate several projects simultaneously whilst working with purchased services

·  Basic knowledge of PLC systems within an industrial environment

·  Familiar with FANUC Robotics systems

·  Experience with Machinery Safety Legislation including PUWER

·  Confined space trained

·  HV Substation Awareness training. IPAF

·  Strong computer skills
