Role Summary/Purpose

In the role of Electrical Assembly, you will:
Essential Responsibilities

·  Assembly electrical components into controls of moderate complexity by following controlled documentation, Standards and specifications

·  Accept independent responsibility for compliance to Environment, Health and Safety

·  Read, understands, and follow detailed drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, customer specifications and electrical assembly standards and procedures

·  Assemble electrical devices in cabinets by hand using hand tools, wire stripers, terminal crimpers, wire cutters

·  Install wires, cables into the cabinets for device to device of moderate complexity

·  Be able to flow back and forth between projects while maintaining departmental quality standards

·  Quality control inspection of work and products during assembly and at completion

·  Provide support and backup of other supply chain personnel, be involved in establishing and achieving team goals while respecting the feelings, needs and varying viewpoints of others

·  Do electrical assembly and occasionally mechanical assembly

·  Be required to document and communicate by using a computer

·  Interface daily with internal customers to meet business objectives and external customer requirements

·  Develop and improve assembly processes, written procedures and checklists

·  Required to follow all department policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 6 months of electrical/electronic experience

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Good manual dexterity; steady hands to work with hand tools, parts and wrenches

·  Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs. and use hand and power tools for assembly

·  Experience using / reading technical drawings, schematics

·  Basic electricity assembly experience

·  Communication. Effectively giving and receives information verbal and written in English for a variety of circumstances

·  Attention to detail. Ensures accuracy of tasks and processes to maintain consistent quality of outputs

·  Flexible. Effective under changing conditions and with different tasks, responsibilities and people

·  Dependable. Sets high goals for attendance and on-time performance for self and team members

·  Quick learner, with strong aptitude for learning new skills

·  Requires organizational and self-motivated skills

·  Requires good organizational and self-motivated skills

·  Basic computer skills, keyboarding / data entry knowledge
