As Control Systems Senior Engineer you will be part of Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section. Your technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications will help you in taking ownership of the control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

· 
Manage with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling

· 
Be responsible for defining, developing and validating the architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level

· 
Master the control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors

· 
Ensure and drive the adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and external process audits

· 
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments

· 
Lead the communication with the SW team in implementing the concepts in Software

Qualifications/Requirements

· 
Master’s Degree in Engineering field or other STEM disciplines with experience in Control System design

· 
Previous experience in an equivalent engineering position

· 
Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sectors

· 
Proven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model-based Design (MBD) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++).

· 
Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles

· 
Documented exposure to the Regulation & Standard

· 
Proven experience in multinational companies

· 
Solid oral and written communication skills

· 
Fluency in Italian and English

· 
Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, is required.

Good knowledge SAE ARP 4754A and DO-178C

Strong problem-solving approach and demonstrated ability to connect horizontally with other roles/functions
