Job Description Summary
PLM Configuration Control Board Chairperson (CCB) develops and maintains certification/ qualification/validation of a baseline product structure and manages changes in compliance with regulatory requirements while meeting business, production, field, and technical objectives. The discipline is a blend of technical, program and configuration management elements.
Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities
· Own the product configuration architecture, this includes defining it and driving the business to maintain it
· Drive the platform and own conformance to the product change process
· Accelerate the execution of design changes and review, approve/reject where appropriately
· Track and drive product change through incorporation on development, production, and fielded engines assuring changes and introductions are consistent with business requirements.
· Be responsible for the product configuration and documentation, ensuring compliance to GE / Partner and regulatory policies and best practices
· Chair Configuration Control Board
· Through participation in internal Tech Review, Joint Tech Review, Tollgate and PCB reviews; Remain abreast of all planned changes to the configuration in order to ensure accurate configuration control is being maintained throughout the initial design, preliminary testing, certification testing, and final certification periods.
· Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and the effectivity within Teamcenter
· Drive timely part setup, BOM loads, BOM releases, BOM changes to support new product introduction as well sustaining programs globally.
· Collaborate with DEO in DECC Programs.
· Provide clear input and advice to the business related to data management in compliance with CCM-1.
· Audit issued Change Documents to verify compliance with CCM-1.
· Participate in keeping updated Configuration Control Operating Procedures.
· Reviews and understands the applicable standards required by Law in country that apply to the relevant products. Communicates standards to the design community and maintains it. May also participate with independent third parties to perform product compliance and certification work (testing, design review etc.) and communicates results/actions to the relevant engineering and supply chain team. Interacts with outside engineering firms or governmental agencies to provide or record product compliance to required regional or national standards to gain the needed product certification or qualification.
· Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
· Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
· Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelors/Masters degree in an engineering or equivalent field from accredited university college.
· Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position.
· PLM, PCM, CID, Certification process knowledge.
· Proven experience leading and coordinating inputs and tasks from multidisciplinary teams.
· Excellent written, oral, and comprehension abilities in English and Spanish
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate to Upper Leadership.
· Demonstrated ability to articulate a strategy, set the vision and execute plans towards
· Demonstrated solid technical skills and experience aligned with the CCB's scope.
· Proven ability to manage multiple programs with several stakeholders and counterparts.
· Responsible for the follow-up and completion of design changes from a configuration's perspective
· Experience coordinating relevant projects with greater autonomy and ownership.
· Experience managing tight schedules and aggressive deadlines.
· Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, execute, control, close, and manage CCB projects.
· Good manage and understanding of design principles relevant to function (CCM1, Engineering Standards).
· Ability to work without supervision. Independent problem solver.
Desired Characteristics
· Demonstrated experience writing/reviewing DCIDs, ACIDs, CIDs, and Supplements.
· Knowledge of Engineering Standards applicable to Engine and Non-Engine Drawings and Parts Lists.
· Experience with Teamcenter, PCM, Digital Thread, Vismockup
· Familiarity with FAA regulations
· CMII Certification
· Capable of accomplishing assignments independently.
