Role Summary/Purpose

The candidate will be responsible building a comprehensive understanding of the business & technology developments in the digital space (e.g., IoT, Industrial Internet, CyberSecurity, Data Analytics, Cloud computing etc) and its impact to GE Aviation business.

Essential Responsibilities

- You will need to research, analyze & develop insights from technical (including patents), market and other business resources. This will require you to comprehend large amounts of data/knowledge from various sources & develop the capability to visualize and share the interlinks/interplay among them.
- As part of your day-to-day job, you will also be highlighting business, competitive and critical technology developments and suggest actions that the leadership needs to take in light of these developments. These advisories would need to be both tactical and strategic in nature.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Engineering degree is a must and the candidate must have experience & passion for Market Research/Business analytics/Competitive Intelligence analytics.
- Should have demonstrated the capability of working across team and technology domains.
- Should display clear thinking, analytical & decision making capabilities as they will need to work with large & varied sources of data/information.
- Should demonstrate flexibility to work with both local & global teams while possessing excellent presentation & communication skills.

Desired Characteristics

- Expertise/knowledge related to areas of Aviation and Aviation systems is a value add.
- Knowledge & passion for Analytics & Intellectual property (w.r.t patents, patent tools) is a value add.
