Role Summary/Purpose

The Commissioning Operator(ComO) is responsible for save operation of system/equipment within his/her scope of work as defined by the Commissioning Shift Lead Operator (ComSLO).
Essential Responsibilities

The Commissioning Operator ensures that the tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled which are listed, but not limited to:

·  Organize and supervise the safe operation of system/equipment/plant (corporate directives, site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log, etc.) from system turnover from erection until PAC by arrangement with the ComSLO

·  Perform operation according to the specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations

·  Advise the ComSLO of any information that could influence the commissioning time schedule and/or the commissioning staff planning

·  Advise the ComSLO of any information related to the process deviation

·  Maintaining a logbook according the instructions by the ComSLO

·  Provide information to the ComSLO for reporting purposes

·  Provide, on request, technical experience feedback to project engineering departments during debriefing meeting(s) to be organized by the project

·  Provide, on request, a support for the update of the Operating Instructions manuals

·  Work off the open item lists of systems under his/her responsibility by arrangement with the ComSLO

·  Train the customer staff in operation and maintenance as instructed by the ComSLO

·  Participate in site meetings by arrangement with the ComSLO

·  Be aware of the active PTWs with the support of the PTW engineer

·  Exchange with the others ALSTOM/partners operators the current situation of the plant and advise them about the foreseen actions to be carried out

·  Perform frequent site walk downs to confirm the proper operation of the equipment's

·  Take various samples (water, slurry etc.), as required by the shift lead operator, required for the analysis

·  Manually intervene on the equipment's (valves, PLCs etc.) in order to keep the unit in safe operation and as required by the shift lead operator
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Engineering degree in Mechanical or chemical or a diploma in mechanical or chemical

·  EHS GE/Alstom program - AIEP training pass within the 3 first month at site

·  Professional Experience

·  Experience gained on the job during professional life

·  Experience in power plant operation and/or commissioning

·  Familiar with fully automated digital control systems

·  Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in Power Plant Operation

·  Fluency in spoken and written English

·  Proficiency in the local language is a plus
