Role Summary/Purpose
The CNC Programmer will lead the design and development of manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment that meet all customer and company requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
As the CNC Programmer, you will:
· Define and control production process, including tooling and equipment
· Ensure supplier performance meets requirements
· Act as liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing
· Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools and/or equipment (includes Manufacturing Engineers)
· Manage NPI (New Product Introduction / Implementation) projects / programs, including Tool and Process design in-house and with vendors, Tool and Process Development, working with Process Engineers and Manufacturing and Quality Departments, NPI Process Development and Documentation and concurrent Engineering with customers
· Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies
· Contribute to technological developments in teams under supervision
· Work together with people from the business unit (contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information)
· Develop, verify and validate production capable CNC programs using CAM software (i.e., NX, Solidworks, Creo, MasterCam) for 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers
· Work within a team setting and/or under guidance
· Execute routine but complex analysis
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
