Role Summary/Purpose

As a Class B, CNC Machinist, you will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their sub-assemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Class B, CNC Machinist, you will:

·  Prepare, setup, and operate Numerical Control VBM/VTL machines
·  Read and follow blueprints, planning sheets (routers), sketches, machinery handbook, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup & adjust procedures, control settings, and machining methods & sequences
·  Setup machine, verify programming, and perform maintenance checks on the Vertical Turning Lathe and other CNC machines
·  Sets up and operates cranes to transport material, tooling, fixturing in and out of the machine
·  Perform all inspections of parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc
·  Clean and deburr parts to ensure readiness for next area
·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma/GED.
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC VBM/VTL Machines
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  This is a 2nd shift position, you must be able and willing to work 2nd shift
Desired Characteristics

·  Ability and willingness to run other types of CNC  /manual machines (manual grinders, mills, drill press, etc.)
·  Experience with virtual setups process
·  Experience with completing in process quality inspections
·  Experience operating cranes and fork trucks
·  Ability to perform shop math and understanding of measuring metrics.
·  Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form
·  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
·  Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required
·  Ability and willingness to work multiple shift(s)
·  Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required
·  Ability to work well with others
·  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
·  Desire to take ownership and accountability in work and in company success
·  Ability to work in a lean and fast-paced environment
