Job Description
As a Civil Power Test Operator, you will be responsible for the testing, fault finding and completion of production panels and electronics to support the Civil Power production line. This will involve the use of working with test equipment, technical drawings and cross-referencing specifications, standards and QMS procedures.
Essential Responsibilities

Testing of production panels
·
Testing of PCB’s and top level electronics units
·
Fault finding at panel and PCB level
·
Working to customer and business demands
·
Aged WIP reduction
·
Build up top level electronic units
·
High voltage testing
Qualifications / Requirements
·
HNC Electronics Engineering, City & Guilds Electronics or equivalent (desirable, but not essential)
·
Be able to fault-find using own initiative to component level
·
Must be PC literate
·
Flexible working and shift working is a feature of the role
·
Understanding / knowledge and appreciation of high voltage testing
·
Desire to learn new skills and develop
·
Excellent influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal
·
Takes ownership and responsibility for completing tasks
·
Proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude
·
Can manage the debug process from start to finish
Desired characteristics
·
Worked with test equipment before
·
Experience carrying out test procedures at sub assembly / unit level
·
Proficient in MC Word / MS Excel software packages
·
Understanding of ESS at unit level, including vibration and thermal testing
