Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for the timely cash collection and advising on the outstanding credit risks involving customers…mainly focusing on cash collection in Iraq with the key customer Ministry of Electricity (MoE).
Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities
•Works with internal/ external customers to resolve escalated/ disputed accounts .
•Leads cross-functional projects focused on improving the commercial process to improve the
collections efforts
•Prepares and presents management reports on Collection performance, including past dues,
cash collected, and customer satisfaction
•Works with Controller and Operations Manager to assure strong control environment
•Managing assigned account receivables base
•Working with customers and Grid Solutions Operations team, expedite collection of invoices to
achieve monthly cash goals.
•Identifying and communicating customer satisfaction issues through the organization and assist in
the resolution of customer disputes.
•Completing all activity in daily queues and maintaining documentation of collection activity.
•Researching and reconciling account variances and including short pays and credits.
•Identifying escalation issues reparation and participation in the cash reviews
•Generating past due & final notices to customers
•Working to improve collections processes with external customers
•Processing manual invoices and reports as necessary on invoice cycle times
•Verifying and delivering on a daily basis the invoices to send to customer; process incoming cash
for daily deposit.
•Managing Customer required Bank Guarantees.
•Close interaction and frequent visits to MoE in Iraq to be able to perform all of the activities above
•Aware of and comply with the GE Grid Solutions Quality Manual, Quality Management System,
Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to
this job type/position
•Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
•Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as
required
Qualifications/Requirements

1.Work experience with MoE and / or ETP in Iraq
2.Fluency in Arabic and English
3.Bachelors degree OR high school diploma in Finance, Accountancy or any relevant department.
5.Experience in collections, customer service, OTR process.
4.Demonstrated effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Desired Characteristics

1.Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and
regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy to understand manner; able
to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing; able to make presentations to leadership.
ARABIC Speaking is a MUST.
2.Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within
operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
