Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you contribute to ensuring that the materials for proto-type projects at LM Wind Power are delivered on site at the right cost, time and in the right quality
Essential Responsibilities

Our Pilot Plant is looking for a buyer to assist in the sourcing of materials for the Pilot Plant development projects. You will have global interaction with customers, suppliers and Engineers from LM. With reference to the Manager for Engineering you will get independent responsibility in the department and will play a significant role in optimizing the flow and cost of materials. You will have a split role where you negotiate cost on special Pilot plant sourcing and take part in some global negotiations with suppliers on areas for global volume items.

In the role as Buyer your primary activities will be:

·  To prepare, send and maintain purchase orders using the ERP system, or other means of requirements
·  To track shipments of raw material to ensure on-time delivery
·  Track cost savings
·  Monitoring inventory levels and work with Warehouse Supervisor on shortages and overages
·  Processing and direct the material to be returned to suppliers
·  To analyze spend and drive additional cost savings
·  Active part in project meeting to secure lead time on critical items is addressed up-front and action taken
·  You will supply scenario calculations and other input to be used for business case calculations leading to new supplier contracts
·  Other duties as required within intercompany invoicing, approval of invoices and cross functional task to meet annual goals and objectives
Qualifications/Requirements

·  You probably have a background from a production company
·  You have significant experience within procurement and are now ready for a role in a global company
·  We expect you to have an education within purchasing or logistic on a bachelor level (or equivalent), or alternatively gained your knowledge in procurement from strong experience
·  Our corporate language is English, and we expect that you have a high level, both in written and spoken English
