Role Summary/Purpose

Current by GE is looking for an Inside Sales Rep who will work off a targeted list of potential prospects to develop new sales opportunities from bench, cold or inactive accounts. He / She will spend time researching prospective companies, identifying leads within these accounts, contacting these leads, and qualifying them.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Business Development Representative, you will:

·  Partner with sales and marketing to develop a complete understanding of the account’s structure and key buying influences of appropriate C-Level decision makers

·  Conduct research to identify and further qualify potential prospects within key accounts

·  Conduct a thorough needs analysis and determine prospects budget, decision makers, need, and timelines (BANT)

·  Build report with the “C level” contacts, determine qualified opportunities and set appointments for sales

·  Follow up with existing customer to determine additional up-sell and cross-sell opportunities

·  Make initial contact with the lead to establish relationship for sales team

·  Set appointments and keep all interactions up-to-date in CRM tool (Salesforce.com)

·  Provide feedback to marketing on effectiveness of the value propositions and messaging to drive continuous improvement and to perfect “the message” to the market / target audience

·  Support revenue growth through sales of slow moving inventory

·  Measure and report results – weekly status; monthly formal review

·  Strong understanding of features and benefits of key products and industries

·  Other duties as assigned to support sales and/or marketing initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience (including relationship building and upselling)

·  Outstanding telephone etiquette and communication skills

·  Previous examples of using tenacity and personal initiative to get the sales appointment

·  Strong organizational skills

·  Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of activity and demonstrate measurable results

·  Experience with Database management and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

·  Customer-centric mentality

·  Experience in an outbound customer service center or a sales environment
