Role Summary/Purpose
The Bearings & Gearbox Supplier Fulfillment Leader will work with suppliers to ensure capacity, readiness and raw material are positioned to support future schedules, monitor successful execution by supplier, apply early risk identification techniques to deliveries and coordinate with functional experts to resolve those problems before impact to internal customers. You will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production schedules.
Essential Responsibilities
The Bearings & Gearbox Supplier Fulfillment Leader, will:
· Work closely with bearing and gear suppliers to manage critical parts
· Manage supplier part numbers and work with engineering to add alternative part numbers to build
· Drive total output and priorities thru constrained operations
· Drive overall recovery plans to reduce delinquency and improve on time delivery and span
· Communicate with customers on delivery commits and demand, to ensure alignment with needs of the business
· Proactively review entire portfolio of GE demand at the supplier
· Engage with digital team and lead projects for data sharing and digital tools to increase productivity
· Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
· Manage claims and process terminations
· Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
· Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
· Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
· Work together with high level people from the business at SPB and EB level
· Specify needs, communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done
· Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge
· Actively participate in supplier performance reviews
· Advise Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within their own field
· Contribute to project as a team member or leads small projects
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier delivery, procurement, production control, commodity management, project management and/or shop operations
