Role Summary/Purpose

As part of the Onshore Wind team, the BOP – Wind Analyst will be responsible driving expertise across the Product Strategy, Engineering and Commercial teams with respect to the Balance of Plant (BOP) and Installation scope required to build a successful wind farm.

Essential Responsibilities

As the BOP – Wind Analyst, you will:

·  Coordinate
with EPC’s and Balance of Plant providers to ensure a strong understanding of
global costs of BOP / Installation
·  Drive
collaboration between EPC’s / BOP providers and our engineering / Product Segment
teams to (1) find creative solutions to add value or decrease cost of this
scope with our existing solutions, and (2) ensure BOP / installation scope and
cost on new products are optimized for maximum value
·  Improve
upon the current commercial processes used to estimate BOP / Installation, in
order to better understand GE’s overall competitive position
·  Develop
and update competitor BOP estimation model used to measure GE’s relative
competitive positioning on a total project scope basis

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering or Science (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or
related) from an accredited college or university
·  Minimum
of 2 years of related work experience in the wind industry, including construction,
installation, or project development / estimating

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in wind energy financial modeling, micrositing and
optimization
·  Strong
analytical capabilities and interpersonal, team building skills
·  Ability to
work with cross-functional colleagues at all levels of the organization to
drive actionable, positive outcomes
·  Experience in estimating and optimization tools (OpenWind or equivalent) as well as cost estimating of labor, construction, crane,
installation and other related costs
·  Experience in foundation design and/or cost estimation
·  Skilled communicator able to exchange complex information
