Role Summary/Purpose

The Strategic Supply Chain Intern supports the GEIQ Commercial Engines Growth Playbook by identifying regional suppliers for targeted commodities. Under supervision, this person will be in charge of performing an Exploratory Analysis to look for potential opportunities and will put together a Business Case for the future development of the Regional Supply Chain for Commercial Engines.
Essential Responsibilities

• Execute with guidance the data analysis required to identify Cost Out opportunities through regional sourcing
• Execute with guidance the profiling of assigned commodities
• Create with guidance a solid business case to request future funding for Regional Supply Chain efforts for commercial
• Perform Supplier Scouting in Mexico & LATAM for desired Hardware Commodities
• Document technical & commercial data to support Commodity Analysis
• Present results to the upper management
• Support the Strategic Supply Chain Strategy on items of limited scope and complexity
Qualifications/Requirements

• Undergraduate student in Mechanical Administrative, Industrial (Supply Chain), Mechatronic, Aeronautical or related Engineering field
• Currently studying 5th or 7th semester
• Good understanding of Engineering Principles
• Supply Chain affinity/interest
• Strong data analysis and data management
