Role Summary/Purpose

The ATC Post Processing Engineering Technician will be responsible for the daily execution of assigned tasks and projects. In the role of ATC Post Processing Engineering Technician, you will be self-directed, working within defined parameters and work plans to meet day-to-day and short term objectives of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the ATC Post Processing Engineering Technician, you will:

·  Produce prototype and low-rate production hardware by working hands-on with the machines and performing periodic machine check

·  Effectively use metrology tools such as micrometers, eye loops, and calipers during inspection of hardware Conduct experiments and inspections on assigned processes
·  Working with engineers and leadership to develop and document process improvements

·  Take ownership for assignment lab areas including:
·  Maintaining equipment
·  Ordering supplies
·  Environmental health and safety
·  and Shop cleanliness

·  Follow technical plans to meet desired manufacturing objectives

·  Adhere to a detailed schedule for a complex engineering and/or manufacturing development work scope

·  Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives

·  Share engineering information and promote open dialogue

·  Support preparation of invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business

·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
·  Perform periodic maintenance and safety inspections

·  Meet quality system requirements for aerospace applications

Qualifications/Requirements

·  High school diploma / GED

·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering (an Associate's degree from an accredited school or institution in an engineering or manufacturing discipline may be substituted for experience)

Desired Characteristics

·  Manufacturing experience in a process engineering environment

·  Experience in one or more of the following process technologies :
·  Direct Laser Melting Equipment Operation
·  General Machine Tool Operation
·  Hand Benching
·  EDM Wire
·  or Quality Inspection Techniques

·  Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Experience
·  Using statistical tools and concepts (Excel, Minitab, etc.)

·  Experience performing design of experiments and associated documentation

·  Experience in aerospace quality systems

·  Experience working a team-based environment

·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
