Role Summary/Purpose

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for various assembly functions to ensure conformance to specifications and continuous production consistent with established standards for Baker Hughes, a GE Company, Pressure Control (PC) equipment.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Assembly Technician, you will:

·  Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and programs and fully comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations

·  Ensure compliance in respective areas of control with all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies and procedures

·  Identify, place and stamp parts in specified relationships to each other and per instruction on job order, router and drawing

·  Check parts and router for accuracy and review assembly procedures

·  Bolt, clip, screw and fasten parts together

·  Assemble equipment based on Customer sales order; complete assembly according to requirements and safety rules / regulations; complete assembly documentation

·  Repair used equipment

·  Operate painting equipment; fully understand painting safety and environmental regulations

·  Work at different work stations, as needed

·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 1year of oil and gas related industry experience and/or a minimum two years of experience in wellhead assembly, installation and / or service

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

·  Ability to follow verbal and written instructions (e.g., environmental, health and safety, quality, compliance and other Company policies)

·  Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and / or hydraulic equipment

·  Experience in documentation and record keeping

·  Working knowledge of Pressure Control (PC) equipment identification

·  Working knowledge of new Pressure Control (PC) product installation

·  Basic computer skills

·  Basic language skills

·  Intermediate mathematical skills

·  Intermediate reasoning ability
