Role Summary/Purpose
This role assembles mechanical and electrical parts or sub-assemblies using a variety of tools and equipment according to the required specifications of a specific area of transformer production.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Assembler, you will:
· Assemble mechanical and electrical parts or sub-assemblies to product specifications
· Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units
· Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
· Work from product drawings, manuals, and specifications
· Collect all material and equipment needed to perform work
· Set-up, operate, adjust and troubleshoot all tools and equipment used in the assembly process
· Inspect finished product and report issues, malfunctions or defects
· Maintain accurate work records
· Maintain productivity standards
· Perform other related duties
· Perform all duties as part of a team
Qualifications/Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum of six months of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability and willingness to work overtime
· Ability and willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift
· Ability and willingness to read, understand and utilize procedures, detailed build plans, and basic mathematical calculations

· Ability to identify and effectively use a variety of power and hand tools
· Ability to perform precise and detailed work
· Willingness to work outside normal work hours to support assembly requirements
· Basic computer skills
· Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Strong team working skills
· Manual dexterity, strong attention to detail
