Role Summary/Purpose

The Assembler will be responsible for performing various sub-assembly operations using a variety of hand and power tools to support valve assembly. We currently have openings on 1st Shift, working from 6:00AM-2:18PM. 
Essential Responsibilities

·  Assemble details on parts utilizing various tools 
·  Work from complex product drawings, manuals, and specifications 
·  Adhere to Operator Acceptance Procedures (OAP) 
·  Inspect finished product and identify defects 
·  Set-up, operate, adjust and troubleshoot all tools and equipment used in the assembly process 
·  Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts 
·  Maintain accurate work records
·  Support team concept and learn/perform other duties as required 
·  Maintain standards for 6S and tool control 
·  Recognize process variation, adjusts accordingly while maintaining compliant work practices, and consistently produces conforming hardware 
·  Maintain productivity standards 
·  Work outside normal work hours to support assembly requirements
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High school diploma/GED 
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing/aviation field
Eligibility Requirements: 

·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
·  Experience with setting up, operating, identifying and effectively using a variety of power, hand, and other machine/manufacturing tools, equipment, and gauges
·  Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, engineering specifications
·  Read, understand, and utilize procedures and detailed computerized build plans
·  Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations 
·  Ability and willingness to work second shift
·  Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
