Role Summary/Purpose

This role will be part of the ERP Initiatives & Strategy group's PLM Operations Team. The Application Engineer will be responsible for Operations, projects of strategic PLM applications for various GE Businesses. Will work with PLM Architects, Engineering Functional users, Application owners in the delivery.
Essential Responsibilities

·  System performance monitoring and overall system health / uptime to meet required business service level agreements
·  Planning, oversight and change management of critical patches, release updates and enhancements
·  Diagnose and remediate system issues & outages working with technical support and global shared services organizations
·  With minimal guidance and support, complete project deliverable
·  Work in coordination with team of developers, driving on-time and quality solutions
·  Measure and report to management on the progress of the project
·  Drive problem management and establish knowledge repository
·  Support project management methodology: tollgate reviews, design reviews, code reviews, detailed functional specifications, UI Specification, detailed technical design
documents and risk assessments
·  Implementation support of PLM team business solutions including configuration of installed application modules, workflow development and java code development and customizations to PTC best practices
·  Creation of unit test plans and performing unit testing
·  Should be able to work on shifts
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field, and a minimum 3 years of relevant IT work experience
·  Expertise in Windchill 10 & above
·  Experience in Windchill System and Business Administration
·  Experienced in Creating Custom Workflows
·  Experience in Windchill Customization
·  Experience in Webservice Interface Customizations
·  Experienced in Report Customizations, Query Builder
·  Experience working in a global environment with offshore/onshore teams
·  Exposure to SQL/PLSQL scripting
·  Exposure to LINUX/UNIX Operating System, ORACLE Database, Shell/Windows scripting
·  Strong analytical skills, oral & written communication skills
·  Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver
·  Effective stakeholder management
·  Strong team player
·  Must be able to work across multiple GE businesses and functions, setting client expectations and delivering on them
Desired Characteristics

·  Experienced in PLM Data Migration and Extracting Data out of Windchill
·  Windchill Upgrade knowledge preferred
·  Exposure to SUMA, PartsLink Classification, Windchill Product Analytics, Cognos, Windchill Reports, InfoEngine Tasks and Templates
·  Exposure to Windchill Re host
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
·  Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
·  High level of energy, self-motivation and a strong customer / external focus
·  Software development skills in Java, JSP, SQL, Windchill InfoEngine, and HTML
·  Source control experience desired
