Role Summary/Purpose
The AP Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate payment to suppliers. In the AP Project Specialist role, you will use your experience and expertise to create requisitions, process invoices, and solve problems related to the supplier invoicing process. You will work with the Sourcing, Project Management, Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to deliver results in the required timelines.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the AP Project Specialist, you will:
· Create Requisitions and update Purchase Orders
· Review Bills of Material (BOM’s) and update required systems
· Process invoices by following payment processing procedures and update appropriate systems
· Identify and communicate opportunities to improve payment processing procedures
· Monitor invoicing queues and resolve issues by priority
Track and report issues and resolution status
· Work with business stakeholders to obtain information required to match and process payment
· Create and edit work instructions as needed
· Proactively identify issues and pull in appropriate resources as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of one year of experience in Sourcing, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
· OR
· A High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
Desired Characteristics
Technical
· Experience with SAP, Snapcount, QuickBase and Smartsheets
· Experience in Sourcing, Operations, or Project Management
· Experience interacting with suppliers
· Strong PC and data management skills
· Knowledgeable in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook
