Role Summary/Purpose

The Analytics UI Consultant will work with our Command Center clients, client facing “product owners” and our engineering teams to develop and enhance the useability of our command center analytic tiles (apps). The candidate must be highly organized and be a self-starter with the ability to intuitively understand user behavior, innovate / rapidly prototype, influence and prioritize to efficiently meet the needs of our expanding command center business.
Essential Responsibilities

The Analytics UI Consultant is responsible for coordinating our UI development activity – this includes the rapid prototyping and creation of new tile UI concepts, refining existing concepts to better meet client user needs and supporting multiple client facing teams under time pressure to deliver. Analytics Consulting is an exciting discipline combining traditional consulting with analytics disciplines such as data science, statistics, simulation and predictive modeling. GE Healthcare’s Command Center offering takes analytics consulting in healthcare to a new level, applying these tools retrospectively to guide process improvement but also in real time to drive targeted and specific actions to coordinate and dynamically optimize the delivery of patient care. The UI Consultant plays an important role in making our analytics intuitive and highly useable by clinicians and “mission controllers” in the command center.

Responsibilities Include:
• Triaging and managing the queue of requests for new tile UIs and enhancements to existing tiles. This includes prioritizing the work for our engineering team who productizes the UIs.
• Rapidly prototyping and supporting field teams with toolkits to facilitate their problem-back work with clients.
• Maintaining standards / style sheets and specs to ensure a highly professional and consistent look.
• Developing Concepts for new tile UIs in response to specific client problems and targeted actions / triggers.
• Developing new “views” with form factors to enhance mobile use of our tiles.
• Maintaining library of tiles, ICONS and features – drive consistency across teams and clients.
• Support client development by adapting / localizing tile concepts to specific client configurations.
• Working both on site and remotely with teams who are trying to achieve new use cases – helping them innovate on how to best convey information and trigger actions.
• Develop flexible “tile history” utility to support retrospective reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Computer Sciences or related discipline.
• Experience in UI development.
• Experience with BI platforms and data visualization (Qlik, Tableau).
• Communication skills, Teamwork and ability to managing multiple parallel projects.
• Ability to travel – up to 50%.
Desired Characteristics

• Graduate degree in Industrial Design, Computer Sciences or related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in UI design and development OR analytic based software systems.
• Skilled in the use of graphic design software – Sketch (iOS) or equivalent.
• SQL and Statistics (desired, not firm requirements).
