The Material Specialist will be responsible for management of direct material for Aero Alliance Avenza Service Shop (Italy). She/He will report to the Material Procurement Leader in the Material & Planning Avenza Shop organization. This role is a permanent full-time position based on-site

Job Description

As Material Specialist, you will be responsible for:

· 
Management of direct material (new and repaired) request, placing and following up on purchase orders. It will include quotation management (technical & commercial approval), alignment of PO price and management of the relationship with vendor for PO execution, check the status of PO and manage changes.

· 
Applying Sourcing Policy with 100% compliance.

· 
Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

· 
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent knowledge or work experience.

· 
Proven experience in Procurement/Sourcing or similar operational activities.

· 
Proven experience in the aviation or oil and gas industry, or industrial background will be appreciated.

· 
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

· 
Be flexible in a dynamic environment.

· 
Fluency in Italian and English, in writing and speaking.

· 
Knowledge of Oracle ERP and/or basic Python (or similar) programming skills is considered as a plus
