Job description

We are looking for an IT professional who's good at troubleshooting systems in a fast-paced environment, who could also develop and maintain existing tools using Java and come up with creative solutions to problems. The Systems Analyst should be responsible, well-organized and able to work with little supervision to meet deadlines. They should also demonstrate ownership and responsibility for their work and their department's work.

The Systems Analyst will oversee the smart card personalization systems, support new product and technology introduction, and develop tools to automate processes to support and enhance productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Configuring and maintaining the card personalization systems to ensure high availability and business continuity. These systems are compiled but not limited to data processing servers, Oracle databases, card personalization platforms and cryptographic servers. Continuous testing is required to ensure smooth deployment of new systems and system upgrades.
· Ability to understand new technologies and products, through training and self-study of specifications and documentation
· Providing support and training to other teams and ensuring their smooth deployment and integration into the current production process
· Developing and maintaining existing tools to automate processes, and monitor systems
· Ability to understand, modify and develop data processing software and smart card personalization scripts
· Keeping abreast of new technologies in general and new products and technologies developed by the Central R&D team in particular
· Ensuring continuous self-training through study of documentation and specification documents, as well as exchanges with the Central R&D team
· Supporting the Site and Project management team towards assessing the feasibility of introducing new products and solutions, and to work with the Operations team to ensure their proper integration within the production process
· Integrating any new system or technology that needs to be introduced, and modifying or adapting the existing systems in order to accommodate the specifics of a new customer or portfolio
· Maintaining the card personalization systems in proper working order to ensure business continuity and minimizing production downtime as much as possible
· Deploying new systems and upgrading existing ones after thorough testing
· Providing support to the production and data processing teams to fix any issue hindering normal operations in a timely manner
· Coordinating any needed investigations with the regional support team and the Central R&D team
· Ensuring thorough testing of new data processing software and smart personalization scripts provided by the regional development and R&D team when major changes occur
· Assisting with the troubleshooting of new data processing software and scrips when needed and ability to modify them to fix issues
· Working towards the automation of processes and providing the data processing and the production teams with needed tools to assist with efficiencies and to monitor systems
· Working closely with the IT manager and the Security manager to ensure the highest level of security and confidentiality of customer information and work towards complying with all the required security standards (VISA, MasterCard, ISO 27001)
· Writing and maintaining proper documentation of all the critical processes and systems
· Ability to provide emergency on-call support

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  IT diploma or engineering degree, with a specialization in systems/networks/security
·  Knowledge and experience in software development methodologies and ability to develop in Java
·  Self-motivated with excellent relational and interpersonal skills in order to communicate clearly and efficiently at all levels within the organization and externally with customers, as needed

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with little supervision to meet deadlines

Ability to understand technical concepts, read technical specifications and maintain a self-training routine

Knowledge and / or experience in smart cards is considered an asset
