Job description

In the role of a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, your main responsibilities will be dealing with the Accounts Payable function and its' duties. You will process invoices, carry out daily administrative tasks & maintain supplier accounts. You will deal with Intercompany reporting and reconciliations in accordance with group instructions and be involved in various projects and analysis as requested by UK Finance Manager.

A week in the life of

A Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable:

• You will maintain the Accounts Payable function by posting invoices.
• You will match the invoices to the Goods Received Notes and Purchase Orders.
• You will process the payment run: payments by BACS or Bankline.
• You will complete Intercompany reporting and reconciliations.
• You will liaise with other internal departments to maintain the Accounts Payable function.

Desired profile

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• To do this job, you must be experienced in working within a large Accounts Payable function, including intercompany, international and multi-currency transactions.
• We would appreciate if you had a good knowledge of general accounting, understanding of VAT and import duty.
• You need to be fluent in English.
• We would like someone to join our team who is self-motivated, autonomous, team player, has excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, can prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
• You need to have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• We are looking for someone with experience of working in an international company and it would be desirable if you had QAD system experience.
