Job description
Main Mission
As Biometric Systems Solution Manager of the P&SD team in Gemalto's Government Business Unit, you address in coordination with the sales team and technical teams, the customers' needs in order to offer the most appropriate technical biometric solutions. You contribute to maximizing the solutions turnover and profit margin by being responsible for the technical offers and cost structure.
Main Responsibilities

You are the technical interface of the biometric solutions area team within the GBU biometrics business line
·
You drive the definition of biometric solutions for prospects and customers. You guide the technological and architectural choices for solutions, taking into account the optimum balance of performance, scalability, support, security and cost.

During the pre-bid phase, you understand customer requirements and lead technical consulting and support to define the solution,
·
You organize technical lobbying through customer/partners technical meetings, workshops and solutions presentation
·
You strengthen and foster the relationship with third party suppliers and validate technical Partners capability where needed.

During the bid process, you lead the technical answer and cost structure for the proposed technical solutions,
·
You lead Proof-Of-Concept (POC) solutions and demos related to the identified opportunity, either in pre-bid phase or during tenders
·
You participate actively to pre-sales activity in the area, strengthening Gemalto's credibility in biometric systems
·
You work with the PMO to handle the logging and updating of ‘Opportunities' data to feed the Master Plan: in particular workload estimates, milestones and expected revenue
·
You contribute to the development of technical business for new solutions or services
·
You are responsible for the “Engagement Review” to ensure a clear transfer of responsibility to the Delivery teams for won contracts (Project Management, Technical Leads, Service Management and finance)

Mobile for frequent traveling within EMEA.

Desired profile
Qualifications :
Education
· 2:1 Degree or Equivalent in IT, Engineering, or related discipline
and/or
· Significant relevant industry experience and qualifications

Experience Level:
Minimum 2 years in Development teams or Consulting
2 years Technical Project Management experience in large systems delivery, ideally AFIS or identity management related.
Complementary background in one of the following fields: consulting, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales ideally in the field of biometrics for identity management.
Other:
Ideally you will hold existing security clearance or be able to gain clearance in line with the criteria.
