WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Senior Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Management and Tech Enablement Leader at Foot Locker, you will lead the portfolio practice engagement between Foot Locker Global Technology Services, Product Management, and Enterprise Business Partners. Your primary responsible will be to ensure financial analysis, maximizing value of approve investments, and balancing capacity of teams within supported portfolio area.

 

As a subject matter expert, you will ensure the operationalization of best practices in modern portfolio management across key strategic themes: Align Portfolio, Optimize Cost, Maximize Benefit, and monitor capacity.

Combining technical acumen with action oriented delivery, you will collaborate closely with departmental leaders to define, prioritize, and operationalize investments in programs and products related to Foot Locker’s digital technology landscape. Additionally, you will design future states and implement best practices in portfolio processes and policies to facilitate efficient product and technology delivery and maximize value realization within your domain.

 

You will play a pivotal role in optimizing Foot Locker's global portfolio of technology platforms and applications, focusing on strategic portfolio planning, benefit realization, rigorous investment analysis, and insightful reporting.

As a data-driven decision-maker, you will steward the investment thesis for your area of responsibility and guide the value realization process from inception to execution – working in partners across Technology, Product, and key Business Areas. You will oversee management tracking, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead change management efforts to ensure robust health across Run, Grow, and Transform investment horizons.

Responsibilities

·  Ensure strategic alignment of initiatives with the overall IT budget, oversee the pipeline of new demand, and provide guidance to enterprise partners on portfolio value, cost, and risk management.
·  Manage the IT portfolio, conduct rigorous financial analysis, and prepare materials for senior management review and approval (C-level executives, VPs, and Directors).
·  Lead the budgeting process within designated coverage areas, collaborating directly with senior leadership across technology, product, and business units.
·  Coordinate and drive alignment related to IT funding, resource allocation compared to capacity, and prioritization across functional teams.
·  Support cross-functional teams in ensuring funding to support roadmap, resolution of delivery risks/dependencies, and providing real time communication to teams.
·  Collaborate with the Financial Team to integrate initiative costs into portfolio-level budgets and financial forecasts.
·  Generate comprehensive reports on metrics that assess the status of the investment portfolio, including Portfolio Health, Financial Health, and Resource Health, to facilitate business case analysis and value tracking.
·  Partner with enterprise teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and change management, facilitating the implementation and sustainability of governance processes across business operations.
·  Implement enterprise scale governance to promote best practices in planning, budgeting, delivery execution, technology standards, and issue/risk monitoring.
·  Prepare materials, reports, and dashboards for review by the enterprise investment council.
·  Perform additional duties as required within the scope of impact.
Qualifications

·  Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Management Information System, Computer Science, Finance, and/or related field.
·  At least 5 years of technology or management experience within global enterprise environments OR minimum of 7 years of progressive technology portfolio and/or product management leadership experience responsible for $25M+ annual budget within retail/consumer facing organization.
·  At least 3 years of direct combined leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
·  Lean Portfolio Management or related Agile management frameworks
·  Application Portfolio Management (ie, application rationalization, technology simplification, and infrastructure modernization)
·  Technology Business Management and/or investment management of multiple large programs and product portfolio.

·  Expert understanding of technology lifecycle, investment management, and delivery life cycle models (ie, Lean, Agile)
·  Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management.
·  Proficient in Portfolio tools (ie, Planview, or similar
·  Proficient in program/product work management (ie, JIRA, Smartsheets, or similar) and enterprise application portfolio management tools (ie, LeanIX, Apptio, or similar)
Benefits

The annual base salary range is $115,000 -$165,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
