First News is looking for a new intern to join our busy schools marketing team from January 2017 until 21/07/17.

Our intern will focus on school/education subscriptions.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and creation of email campaigns
• Plan and attend education events
• Data analysis
• Research – analyse competitor-marketing materials print and online
• General admin duties
• Social Media content and analysis
• Drafting, editing and subbing copy for campaigns
• Website – edit, update, maintain
• Engage with marketing teams to come up with ideas for new campaigns
• Customer service support – contacting schools about their involvement in upcoming events and organising their participation
• Manage our iHub trialists and respond to emails.

Desired profile

Requirements :
The selected candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also have strong attention to detail and organisational skills with good knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point as well as experience using Indesign and Photoshop and/or an understanding of website administration/social media maintenance are beneficial but not essential.

A qualification and/or background in marketing is also an advantage but not essential. However a passion to learn and a love of publications as well as a desire to work in media industry is a must!

Must be able to commit full-time until 21/07/17

This is a paid internship at minimum wage, plus any expenses incurred while attending an event e.g. travel
