Opportunity to join our leading UK Technology, Media, Telecommunications (“TMT”) M&A team, ranked No.1 EMEIA TMT M&A advisor by volume in 2020 by Merger market.

Technical skills requirements
· 3+ years in a leading institution with corporate finance / investment banking, relevant advisory, accounting, technology / industry experience.
· Previous corporate finance experience preferred:
- Sell-side M&A
- Buy-side M&A
- Fundraising
- Recapitalisation
· Excellent commercial exposure to high level clients and issues.
· Demonstrate strong numerical and financial skills:
· Financial statement operating models
· Financial valuations
· Pro forma merger
· Precedent transaction and comparable companies analysis
Your key responsibilities
· Support on transactions across the team. For example, preparing information memoranda, maintaining financial models, coordinating due diligence, managing the overall transaction process.
· Financial analysis of companies in target, including building operating and valuation models, maintaining and updating comparable company trading analysis and transaction analysis.
· Research on companies and industries and support on client initiatives including generating and developing new ideas.
· Formulate and develop client pitch-books and analysis in addition to supporting other team members.
· Responsibility for monitoring targeted clients in terms of news and announcements.
· Apply core technical and commercial skills to a variety of situations.
· Take responsibility for own workload, ensuring utilized fully and that all tasks are efficiently completed.
· Keep the team informed of progress, drawing issues to their attention and discussing conclusions with them.
· Training, mentoring and managing junior members of the team.
Ideally, you’ll also have
· Able to thrive under pressure and work effectively as a team to tight deadlines.
· Detail-oriented and excellent presentation skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· A high standard of spoken and written English is essential.
· Leverage network to identify new leads.
· Keen interest in technology, software and data.
· Seek feedback on performance and drive own development.
· Interest in leveraging your access to EYs learning and development resources.
· Negotiation skills.
· Absorb new technical information quickly, and quickly develop a deep understanding of the strategic rationale for transactions.
· Sound commercial judgment and an ability to generate creative solutions to problems and 'think on your feet'.
· Understand how and why value is added to clients through the deal process.
