Within Ernst & Young's Global Compliance Reporting practice, we are currently seeking an Accounting and Tax Technician in our Saskatoon office.  This position offers excellent opportunities for learning to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
·  Prepare financial statements including reconciliation of client information to supporting documentation.
·  Prepare corporate tax returns and tax provisions
·  Preparation of personal income tax returns
·  Preparation of government remittance filings such as T4, T5 and GST returns
·  Interact directly  with clients and other stakeholders
·  Providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services and work products
To qualify, candidates must have:
·  Completion of an accounting Business Diploma or certificate or equivalent work experience
·  Experience with working with accounting and tax software such as Excel, Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks or Simply accounting is beneficial
·  excellent organization skills and attention to detail
·  good communication skills
·  Strong Computer literacy and a commitment to learning and using our tax technology and processes
·  the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and high volume  environment with keen attention to client needs
·  the ability to be proactive, use own initiative, and work independently, as well as part of the team
·  the ability to demonstrate sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
·  the flexibility to work additional hours
