Job description

EY’s Talent Search & Intelligence team is a specialist area of the wider UK & Ireland Experienced Hire Recruitment Team with a focus on attracting passive talent and business partnering with all areas of EY’s UK business to hire market-leading talent to the UK firm. The Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor role provides the opportunity to impact EY’s continued growth and success directly, not only through attracting best-in-class talent to EY, but also through the design, delivery and implementation of longer-term strategic recruitment projects.

The Opportunity:

To independently manage search and direct sourcing processes and campaigns, delivering an exceptional candidate experience to headhunted candidates and excellent client service to all relevant stakeholders.  You will advise and partner with appropriate and often senior stakeholders to design, coordinate and execute direct sourcing/executive search strategies to attract passive talent from across the candidate marketplace. In addition, you will be accountable for proactively gathering and presenting various kinds of market intelligence and research to improve talent pooling activity and to better address strategic recruitment priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Driving Search and Sourcing Delivery

·  Acting with autonomy and with a deep understanding of a broad range of business areas, take responsibility for determining, formulating and delivering appropriate sourcing/executive search plans based on a thorough understanding of recruitment requirements
·  Research, produce and present market intelligence studies on topics such as hiring activity across the market, diversity & inclusion and compensation trends to better inform recruitment strategy and activities
·  Execute searches, ensuring service delivery to diverse and often senior stakeholder groups
·  Produce written search briefs, manage stakeholder and candidate expectations and advise on best practice in the hiring of headhunted candidates
·  Deliver timely and appropriate feedback to headhunted candidates on interview outcomes, including delivering sensitive messages where required, taking responsibility for driving best-in-class candidate experience
·  Provide business partnering support to manage recruitment campaigns and address business stakeholder requirements
·  Collaborate with operational recruiter counterparts to manage the offer process for potential joiners, particularly with respect to ascertaining and managing candidate expectations and managing the candidate through the offer negotiation process

 

Stakeholder Partnering and Management

·  Manage a set of business, recruiter and other stakeholder relationships across a service line(s)
·  Influence stakeholder groups on how to approach the sourcing of leading talent against often complex and/or volume-based projects
·  Influence and educate stakeholder/ interviewer groups to ensure the best possible candidate experience is delivered consistently during the recruitment process
·  Act as an advisor on trends within the sector and use this to inform and drive direct sourcing
·  Keep abreast of market/external and internal trends which will impact EY’s business and hiring potential
·  Proactively build and maintains internal relationship, such as with the interview scheduling team, to ensure efficient search process management and exceptional candidate experience

Direct Candidate Sourcing/Search

·  Devise and implement research strategies and processes for identifying key talent quickly, deploying own network, new joiner meetings, job databases, Taleo, Avature, SuccessFactors, stakeholder networks and online sources
·  Work autonomously to talent pool, network and understand the candidate market, continually developing a strong network of candidates in the external market, as well as meeting new joiners and key business contacts to better identify and attract leading talent from across the market
·  Acts as an ambassador for EY in the external talent market, expressing a compelling vision of our employee value proposition and growth strategies as a firm to differentiate EY from its competitors
·  Research and map candidate markets to respond to critical skills shortages, as well as taking informal soundings from internal sources on target candidates

 

To qualify for the role, the successful applicant will bring:

·  A significant track record in direct sourcing either as part of a wider recruitment role (agency, RPO or in-house), or within a sourcing/talent acquisition team context
·  Proven experience in developing and implementing direct sourcing strategies, deep knowledge of candidate sourcing tools and methodologies
·  Ability to deliver high quality candidates for multiple/volume recruitment campaigns
·  A firm commitment to delivering exceptional candidate experience
·  Proven experience in researching and delivering credible market insights and intelligence to senior leaders
·  Experience developing and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders such as hiring managers, recruitment colleagues and colleagues from across HR
·  A keen interest in delivering diverse talent to meet EY’s strong commitment to D&I targets and priorities

Skills and Attributes for Success:

·  A passion for direct sourcing, understanding candidate markets and competitor firms, as well as wider interest in and experience of other areas of talent acquisition/recruitment
·  Determined to deliver excellence, organised, driven to succeed and a strong team-player

Ideally, you’ll also have:

·  Strong communication skills, including being able to differentiate EY opportunities with passive candidates, as well as being able to articulate the Talent Search & Intelligence team’s offering to stakeholders
·  Able to adapt to change and understand wider recruitment and talent objectives and priorities
