EY- GDS – Solutions Team – Data Science Supervising Associate

 

As part of EY GDS Solutions Team, the Data Science Associate will be responsible for driving the data science projects by working with a team of associates and analysts.

The opportunity

 

We’re looking for a Supervising Associate with expertise in Business and Data Analytics to join the EY - Solutions Team. The incumbent is responsible for building data driven solution framework, bringing in best practices both from technology and analytics space, leading and executing conceptualized solutions.

Your key responsibilities

·  Identify data & analytics use cases maximizing the delivery of business value via active engagement and collaboration with stakeholders
·  Analyse, define and prioritize data & analytics use cases, assessing business value and articulating user stories
·  Provide pragmatic approach to problem solving enabling the team to stay on track with business deliverables commitments
·  Strike the right balance between tactical and strategic solutions
·  Be the translator between technical individuals and business teams      
·  Showcase data & analytics solutions to end users, and gather user experience feedback in a spirit of incremental improvements
·  Support the strategy team in bringing best approaches and practices for data driven solutions to optimize costs and increase profitability 

Skills and attributes for success

· 
Hands on experience in executing transformative analytics solutions leading to tangible business value

· 
Sound understanding of statistical concepts to leverage the same for generating insights out of data

· 
Ability to amalgamate technology and analytics to build products and solutions which enable automation and digitization of the processes

· 
Strong aptitude and quantitative skills. Must be excellent with data and number crunching

· 
Strong ability to build stories out of data. Excellent presentation skills

· 
Strong in using analytical tools such as R/Python and Excel for building analytical solutions and exploratory data analysis

· 
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders

· 
Sound understanding of business levers and key enablers

· 
Ability to work well within a team

· 
Ability to set and meet objectives

· 
Good time management skills and ability to multitask

To qualify for the role, you must have

·  Must have quantitative background. STEM degree preferred
·  At least 5 to 8 years of relevant hands on experience in building analytics solutions
·  At least 5 to 8 years of overall experience in data analytics related roles
·  Experience in leading mid-sized teams and executing end to end analytics solutions
·  Strong knowledge of R/Python, SQL, Excel and PowerPoint
·  Experience in using various tech stack to deploy and operationalise analytical solutions
·  Must have excellent story boarding skills
