EY Business Consulting – Supply Chain Domain – Digital Supply chain - Senior Consultant
Our objective is to help the clients to improve the performance and productivity of their Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O). With expertise in SC&O digital technologies, you will help clients to streamline processes, improve data accuracy and responsiveness of their supply chain whilst reducing the total cost. Typical role representation would include developing operating models, redesigning / reengineering supply chain processes, performing process assessments and reviews, developing tools and coming up with thought leadership.
The client base spans across industries and includes multinational companies from oil & gas, power & utilities, consumer goods & retail, etc.
The opportunity
We’re looking for creative and technology-minded Senior Consultant with an expertise in Digital supply chain to join the group of our Business Consulting Team to work with business clients and project teams to support engagements on SC&O.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior consultant, you will be part of a team of professionals with extensive Supply Chain consulting and industry experience. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will create innovative insights for clients, suggest methods and practices to optimise their SC&O processes, improve operations and create new sources of value, and contribute to thought leadership. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. Travel may be required when safe to do so or for critical business needs.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work closely with business stakeholders on Digital Supply Chain/Procurement/Logistics assignments and translate the client needs and priorities to sustainable solutions
• Effectively partner with the project teams and effectively deliver digital experience to clients on SC&O using technology systems and platforms like SAP, Oracle, Anaplan etc. as per the assigned scope of work
• Ensure consistency in delivering high quality work products exceeding the client expectations and meeting delivery timelines
• Build, maintain and strengthen working relationships with business stakeholders at appropriate levels and clients.
• Continually enhance your technical and consulting skills on digital SC&O, there by contributing to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
• Proactively identify trends and opportunities in the digital space that can shape the way Supply Chain operates in the future
• Liaise with internal teams and field of play teams to help identify opportunities on digital SC&O and actively contribute to business development activities.
• Develop and groom team members for succession planning, as needed
Skills and attributes for success
• Good understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes across industry domains (experience working in at least 2 different industry sectors is desirable)
• Ability to contextualise technology and support in delivering digital / technology embedded SC&O robust solutions
• Strong functional knowledge of ERP applications in one or more SC&O domain areas
• Experience in Supply chain transformation, 3PL and 4PL integrations on the digital front
• Knowledge on analysing interface failures through IDoc Monitoring
• Exposure in digital (e.g., RPA, Blockchain, IoT) and experience in the application of technologies will be added advantage
• Process compliance/timely reporting of facts & figures
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with all stakeholders
• Ability to present ideas and solutions in a clear and concise manner
• Self-motivated with a lot of energy and drive
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
To qualify for the role, you must have
• 6-8 years of work experience in Supply Chain domain using a minimum of 2 ERP systems (preferably SAP & Oracle).
• Consulting experience in SC&O digital transformation projects would be an added advantage (5+ years of core experience, 3+ years of consulting experience)
• BE/B-Tech/MBA/higher degrees in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Operations
• Strong digital supply chain portfolio experience in 2 or more of the following application areas:
• Purchasing, Inventory management, Materials management, Sales and distribution, Logistics & Warehousing, Manufacturing including but not limited to planning, order management, performance management etc
• Strong technical capability in 2 or more ERP systems like SAP and Oracle for Supply chain management and with hands-on full-cycle implementation experience on at least one of the core modules (SAP - SD, MM etc.)
• Experience can be purely domain experience or a mix of consulting and domain experience in any package (SAP, Oracle etc)
• Exposure to system like SAP Ariba, Coupa, LLamasoft, Anaplan
• Addon experience in quality management, financial supply chain management, financial accounting and controlling
• Involvement in strategic planning, cradle to grave implementation experience in Supply chain projects would be an added advantage.
• Strong in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Aris, Power Bi, Tableau, etc.
• Willing to work on Sunday to Thursday working week and support MENA timings (11AM – 8.30 PM), as preferred (supporting Middle East Clients)
Ideally, you’ll also have
• Project management skills
• Customer handling, Report writing, Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in usage of analytical tools/ representations
• Certification in ERP systems – SAP, Oracle
